BUFFALO— Jimmy Janowski will be Margo Channing June 26 as Buffalo United Artists presents a staged reading of
All About Eve. The performance will be a benefit for the downtown theater organization.
All About Eve is a radio play based on the screenplay by Joseph L. Manckiewicz, from the story The Wisdom of Eve by Mary Orr.
The Manckiewicz film ulitimately was nominated for 14 Academy Awards, and won six, including Best Picture.
The one night only performance will feature Jimmy Janowski as Margo Channing, a highly regarded but aging Broadway star that faces the challenge of Eve Harrington, a willingly helpful young fan who insinuates herself into Channing's life, ultimately threatening Channing's career and her personal relationships. The cast will include actors Anthony Chase, Kelly Ferguson, Darryl Hart, Mary Loftus, Lisa Ludwig, Brian Riggs.
