Buffalo —
Shea's Buffalo has announced the shows for their 2010-2011 Broadway Musical season. New shows include the Broadway blockbusters Shrek the Musical and Young Frankenstein. Both proved to be audience pleasers and a fun night in the theater.
Congratulations to Shea's bookers for being able to book these two premium shows.
Returning to Buffalo will be new productions of Buffalo native, Michael Bennett's Dreamgirls and West Side Story. Wicked will return to Buffalo for an extended one month Shea's run.
Youngsters will be enchanted by the retelling of Mary Poppins that was first mounted on the London stage before transferring to Broadway where young audiences have given the musical strong support.
In a surprise booking the usually staid and not so gay Shea's management has booked Dixie's Tupperware Party as a special engagement. Dixie Longate who proportedly is America's #1 Personal Seller of Tupperware is a drag performer who gives audiences the hard sell with hillarious technigues.
Shea's regulars will no doubt be familiar with the special engagements of Lord of the Dance and Cirque Dreams Holidaze. These usual suspects round out the special engagements. These usual suspects will no doubt dampen what has the potential to be an outstanding season.
