Hutchinson Family Revival To Perform Women’s Suffrage Songs

BUFFALO—On Wednesday, November 19 at 7 p.m., the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society will present a program of women’s suffrage songs, performed by the Hutchinson Family Revival, titled “Let Woman Vote!” The event will take place in the Historical Society’s museum building, located at 25 Nottingham Court at Elmwood Avenue.

The Hutchinson Family Revival will don Victorian attire and sing songs with titles such as “Let Woman Vote,” “Let Us All Speak Our Minds,” “Song of the Shirt,” and “The Bloomer’s Complaint.” Actress Rebecca Baker will also perform a dramatic reading of Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s 19th century poem “Women Do Not Want It.”
