ALBANY, NY— New York State Senator Antoine Thompson(D) Buffalo, seems to have finally gone on the record in favor of same-sex marriage. The bill that would legalize gay marriage in New York has been introduced with Senator Thompson among the bills 19 Democrats Senate sponsors.
Senator Thompson had not previously stated, for the record, his support of same-sex marriage legislation to any news media during his tenure in the Senate.
The bill is S4401. Senator Thompson is the one of only two Senators from upstate New York to be listed as a sponsor of the bill.
